Dr Katja Lin
Dr. Katja Lin is a board-certified small animal surgeon with a broad array of surgical interests. She completed all her training at the University of Minnesota, finishing her surgical residency in 2012 . During her residency she published on some of her research, including a paper on non surgical management of cranial cruciate ligment disease and the use of MRI to evaluate elbow cartilage in dogs. After her residency she established a surgical service at a small animal practice in Chico, CA.
In 2015, Dr. Lin relocated to Las Vegas to join the surgical team at the Las Vegas Specialty Center, where she stayed on for four years. She left to shift her focus towards orthopedics. However, when the pandemic emerged, she adapted by providing mobile surgery services in Sacramento and locum surgery in Reno, NV, and Orange County, CA.
In 2023, Dr. Lin took a sabbatical to welcome her son and decided to lay deeper roots in Las Vegas. This led to the founding of Red Rock Veterinary Surgery in 2024.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Lin balances motherhood with her passion for the outdoors, especially rock climbing and trail running.
